Bioinformatician (Palmarini group)
MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research
I am a bioinformatician embedded within the Palmarini group of the CVR.
My research in the CVR focuses on understanding the differences in infection severity of different strains of bluetongue virus, and why the virulence of infection differs across bovid hosts (cows, sheep and goats). I utilise transcriptomic, metabolic, and genomic data to address these questions.
My PhD before this post focused on the evolutionary genomics of malaria causing Plasmodium species.
