In addition to research, we run several training courses both locally in Glasgow and internationally. These are focussed on Unix/Linux skills and key research areas in virus bioinformatics, for example, reference mapping, consensus and low-frequency variant calling, de novo assemblers and contig merging, gene prediction and genome annotation, transcriptomics, multiple alignments, phylogenetic analysis and metagenomics. Please check this page for upcoming courses. Don’t hesitate to get in contact with us if you have any questions. Training visits are also possible but from experience, these should have a specific research question from the outset and are ideally collaborative research projects.
