Bioinformatician (Palmarini group)
MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research
I am a bioinformatician within the Palmarini group of the CVR.
I obtained my undergraduate degree in genetics from the University of Cambridge, and undertook my PhD at the University of Edinburgh working on the evolutionary genomics of malaria causing Plasmodium species.
My research in the CVR focuses on understanding the differences in infection severity of different strains of bluetongue virus, and why their virulence changes across different bovid hosts.
